Sunday 16th January 1994
The party travels north from Hochoch to the village of Ravenswood, several leagues to the east on the edge of the Dim Forest. That night the village is attacked by 120 goblins, 40 hobgoblins, 10 ogres and 3 fire elementalists. Eron and Lostirs aid the defence of the eastern edge of the village and the 60 goblins + 10 hobgoblins attacking this sector are slain. Gribnore is held by an elementalist while defending the northern approach but Eron rushes to his aid and manages to slay the elementalist and rescue Gribnore before the humanoids have a chance to overwhelm him.
20 hobgoblins, 10 ogres and 10 worgs attack from the west overrunning the defenders. The party and 30 militia make a stand in the northern part of town. The attackers are finally slain or driven off but many villagers and militia are killed (approx 80).
Searching the bodies the party finds a wand of fire on the elemenalists’ body.
Two days later a squad of 50 troops arrive to protect the village.
Sunday 23rd January 1994
The party spends a week in the village recovering from the battle and helping the villagers to rebuild their shattered homes before heading into the Dim Forest in search of the goblins.
The second night in the forest they camp on the shores of a river and are attacked by 6 merrow. All the merrow are slain or driven off.
The following morning the party follows the river northwards as they search for a crossing point. Eventually they stumble across an old abandoned bridge (Hermes Bridge from Dungeon # 32). Eron scouts the way forward but is poisoned by a giant spider and dies. Tarelan tries to steal the money from the travellers urn and is knocked unconscious by the bridges guardian, a stone golem. The others drag him to safety.
Sunday 30th January 1994
The adventurers return to Hochoch to raise Eron. They spend several days in town re-equipping themselves before Ogre, Eron and Taralan return the forest.
On the second night back in the forest they are attacked by 20 goblins but manage to fight them off.
On the fourth evening the party stumbles across an old ruined keep that is being used as a goblin lair, they retire to rest and plan an assault for the following morning, but that night they are discovered by a goblin patrol. The goblins elementalist leader casts several hold person spells and the party is captured.
They manage to escape from the cell and after killing several goblin guards make a dash for the safety of the forest. Unfortunately both Ogre and Eron are brought down by arrow fire and recaptured, Taleran however escapes into the forest.
