The Wolfsheads campaigns are the longest running series of adventures we’ve played in the Forgotten Realms, or anywhere else for that matter. In fact these were the first adventurers we ran in the Forgotten Realms setting. The original adventures were DMed by Mark Walker in 1989 and the campaign began with the Wolfsheads adventuring in and around Scornubel on the Sword Coast. Later, Ian took over the role of DM, running several adventures around the Reaching Wood, including the first foreys into the ruined village of Ruanon. In 1990 I took over DMing the Wolfsheads and ran several adventures around both Baldur's Gate and Waterdeep where they eventually persihed. A year or so later the Wolfsheads returned to battle against the giants in a series of adventures once again run by Ian after which they retired. In 1996 they came out of retirement briefly for a few more adventurres run by me before ending when I went on a Big OE (Overseas experience to the non-kiwis) to Japan.
